BenQ introduces outstanding color performance and unsurpassed usability into its professional line of LCD monitors
EUROPE, 19 May, 2006 – BenQ today launches the BenQ FP91R monitor, the first in its new R-series of LCD displays for professional use. The FP91R features outstanding performance with sRGB standard color, color stability and fullness at all grey levels.
The BenQ FP91R is equipped with a luminance compensation feature which automatically calibrates for optimum luminance. An independent six-color (red, green, blue, cyan, magenta and yellow) adjustment allows professionals to closely match their designs to actual printed materials.
The BenQ FP91R standard user-friendly features include OSD (On-Screen-Display) interface, wired controller, pivot/height adjustment and USB ports. Superlative Color Consistency
The FP91R’s outstanding performance in color consistency is chiefly evident in color stability and fullness at different grey levels, strict conformance to the sRGB standard, and a brightness compensation feature. Such characteristics enable it to render colors without any loss of fidelity, and to interoperate with any computer peripheral with 5 gamma settings that simulate the color effects of real-world environments with 13 color temperature settings. To avoid luminance decay effects, the FP91R features a luminance compensation function. By simply attaching the wired controller to the LCD monitor’s surface, the luminance sensor will adjust the LCD monitor to its factory set luminance level
Independent Six-Color Adjustment
Incorporated with an independent six-color adjustment function (red, green, blue, cyan, magenta and yellow) the BenQ FP91R allows users to freely adjust hue or color saturation settings and enables detection of a specific color, and single color adjustment. This function provides professional users with precise color adjustment option without any aberration
Built with Users in Mind
The BenQ FP91R is built with users in mind. It comes bundled with user-friendly features including an adjustable OSD interface, built-in wired controller giving users the option of changing modes, main menu and hot keys and a luminance calibrator which automatically adjusts for optimum luminance. The FP91R also features convenient pivot and height adjustments and two USB ports giving users easy access to USB-compatible devices.
The BenQ FP91R will be available at the end of May in Asia and is expected to be launced in Europe in August.
