Comwrap GmbH, a renowned consultancy for digitalisation solutions, found itself looking for a wireless presentation system that could meet its demanding requirements. Comwrap GmbH looked for a wireless presentation system that could meet its demanding requirements and solve technical difficulties and challenges. 

When speaking about developing new business models for the digital age, Mathias Hermann, CEO of Comwrap, sees the change that is unprecedented in history. ‘Our clients have been in business for around 50 years, even 100 in some cases, and they are seeing their business models collapse’, says Hermann. ‘The general trend towards digitalisation that we are currently seeing is, in my opinion, an even bigger deal than the industrial revolution.’

Driven by this development and by meticulous consultation and implementation of digital projects, Comwrap has long been a partner to German heavyweights such as Helios Kliniken and DZ Bank.

To find the most suitable option, the company tested a wide range of wireless presentation solutions, finding advantages that were quickly overshadowed by issues such as stability, high latency, or troublesome software installation requirements.

In some cases, Hermann would even throw a solution directly in the garbage after one incident of crashing or instability. Another part of the challenge was that other solutions were too complex for external speakers, while some required IT support to set up and manage. “My idea was not to use a wireless presentation solution anymore because they were all poor,” Hermann says of his feelings at the time.

It wasn’t until the company was having a projector installed in the main conference room that a viable solution serendipitously landed on the table. ‘I was thinking about no longer bothering with a wireless presentation solution as none of them quite fit the bill’, says Hermann about his thoughts at the time.

‘And then in came this installation technician with a projector and placed the BenQ InstaShow on my desk. He said it’s the best solution he knows and that I should give it a go. At this point, I was pretty sure that there were no satisfactory solutions. After connecting the InstaShow I was immediately amazed by how simple it was to set up. I was absolutely blown away - and that’s putting it mildly.’

A few days after the start of the trial phase with InstaShow, Comwrap organised an event with more than 60 attendees. Due to past experiences, Mathias Hermann made sure to have a replacement cable standing by in case of problems. However, even in this extreme situation, InstaShow provided a smooth presentation experience:

‘We held the entire presentation with three different speakers and everything was seamless. They could simply click the button and start their presentation. It was absolutely fantastic, and the replacement cable was not used even once. This was the moment that I decided to purchase four of the devices to put in all of our meeting rooms.’

When an external speaker comes in and we hand them the InstaShow dongle to connect their device, they are amazed. This is how we want customers to perceive us as a brand: that we are on top of everything we do. I mean, we are the digital experts, right? And we have a solution that few people are familiar with.’

Since adopting the solution, Comwrap has seen a time savings of approximately 30 minutes a day. That savings, though, is almost secondary to a newly relaxed preparation atmosphere along with an improved company brand built on top of a reliable and seamless presentation system. “It’s the whole impression that you have at a meeting, the CEO adds. “If we have external speakers, and you give them the InstaShow dongle and connect it, they are amazed. If people sit there and see how easy it goes, that’s how we as a brand want to appear in front of our customers or prospects. Because we have it all figured out. We’re the digital guys, right? And we have a solution they’ve never seen.”
