EINDHOVEN, THE NETHERLANDS, October 19, 2020 – BenQ, the global No.1 DLP projector brand, has been awarded the ISO27001 certification for information security management systems (ISMS), demonstrating its commitment and capabilities towards maintaining information security and protecting users’ safety and privacy.
ISO27001 is an internationally authoritative standard that specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the context of an organization, thereby ensuring that data remains secure, complete, and usable. After undergoing stringent reviews by the British Standards Institution (BSI), BenQ was awarded the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification on September 14, 2020.
In a world of countless data breaches and leaked personal information, companies are required to adopt solutions that are abiding by the highest security protocols available to preserve the image of their brand. This is a cause BenQ is highly committed to with the ISO27001 awarded InstaShow® wireless presentation solution as one of many shining examples. As noted by BenQ President and CEO Conway Lee: “BenQ has always considered information security to be of utmost importance, and this philosophy is reflected in our R&D and manufacturing processes. The ISO27001 certification illustrates BenQ’s determination to remain an industry leader in information security.”

The BenQ IInstaShow® is ideal for security-oriented businesses such as banks, law firms, and accounting firms, as well as government, military, and educational units. Demand for such systems has skyrocketed now that wireless and online meetings are becoming increasingly common.
The InstaShow® system is entirely hardware-based, requiring no setup or drivers, which means no unauthorized or malicious software will make its way into the user’s computer. Additionally, InstaShow® has passed CVSS 3.0 standards as tested by an ISO27001 & ISO17025 certified security lab. Despite InstaShow®’s broad compatibility—it works with any OS or hardware platform, including PCs, Macs, and Chromebooks—the system nonetheless promises absolute data security via measures such as WPA2-PSK protection with 128-bit encryption and secure handshake procedures. More information on the security measures taken by InstaShow® can be found in our whitepaper.
