As the AV industry makes its way through a national lock down, it’s clear that when we return to the workplace, things will look a little different. With a heightened sense of hygiene and personal wellbeing, especially in spaces such as offices and schools, it’s time to think about how to incorporate the necessary changes into what will be “the new normal”.
From collaboration solutions and digital signage to IT, users of technology will expect greater precautions to be taken around these issues. Therefore health and wellbeing needs to be a serious consideration for those in decision-making roles.
We’ve been manufacturing display technology for a number of years and have long championed eye-care features such as a TUV certified blue light filter and flicker-free technology in our monitors and displays. Since branching out into collaboration technology, we’ve taken this priority further.
In both our corporate and education interactive flat panel display ranges, we’ve extended our range of health and wellbeing features into a suite called Healthcare+. In addition to the eye-care features, we’ve also included an air quality sensor, which monitors the amount of CO2 in the room, providing data insight for end-users about the quality of the space they’re working in.
Most notably however, is the introduction of an anti-bacterial display surface. Built into all our DuoBoard and RP Series interactive flat panels, the displays are safe for multiple users to interact with, thanks to a specially engineered coating which reduces the spread of bacteria via the display. This is particularly important as touchscreen displays are often overlooked as a potential source of bacteria and viruses.
The need for reassurance around these issues is paramount for us to return to places of work, the AV industry has a responsibility to ensure that technology supports this aim of keeping people safe. At BenQ, we’re proud to be at the forefront of that shift, and will continue to do so.
BenQ have been manufacturing display technology for a number of years and have long championed visual health in our monitors and displays. Since branching out into collaboration technology, we’ve taken this priority further, extending our range of health and wellbeing features into a suite of Healthcare+ benefits.
