BenQ is the official gaming monitor sponsor of ESL Arena and brings a gaming legend to Cologne
EUROPE, August 11, 2011 – BenQ, a leading provider of networked digital lifestyle devices and LED monitor expert, is proud to be presented at gamescom (17th – 21st August) and demonstrate the strength of its gaming monitors.
BenQ is the official gaming monitor sponsor of ESL Arena
In cooperation with ESL (Electronic Sports League) BenQ will be making a prominent appearance at gamescom 2011 in the ESL Arena in hall 9, booth A-061/C-060, which covers a vast 4000 square meters. More than 120 BenQ XL2410T professional gaming displays are not only going to be exhibited on the stage of the ESL Arena and at the numerous different gaming areas but they are also there to be put to the test. ESL Arena visitors can see for and convince themselves of this high performance 23.6 inch model with 120 Hz LED panel, 2 ms (GtG) response time and a dynamic contrast of 10 million:1.
Gaming legend is BenQ's guest of honour
In addition to the ESL sponsorship, BenQ is also showing its gaming display, which hasn't coincidentally become a top gamers' choice, at the CaseKing booth (hall 6.1, booth C52). When developing the monitor, BenQ co-worked together with an experienced team of advisors – which included no less than Emil “HeatoN” Christensen and Abdisamad “SpawN” Mohamed from ZOWIE GEAR. Apart from speed requirements and the implementation of unique gaming modes like First Person Shooting and Smart Scaling, the legendary Counterstrike gamers also focused on ergonomic aspects which led to the end product featuring height adjustability, and swivel and tilt capabilities.
Emil “HeatoN” comments: "Working with BenQ has been one of the best experiences in my career as a professional gamer. They are very dedicated to gaming, and like me, they strive for perfection in even the smallest details. I'm really excited about coming to gamescom and playing some games with my German fans and I hope my challengers will have mercy on me!"
Emil “HeatoN” will make his live appearance on the 19th and 20th August at 1.30 pm at BenQ at the CaseKing stand.
