The World’s Best Gamers to Compete at Intel Extreme Masters Tournaments Around the Globe with BenQ’s High-Performance XL2420T Professional Gaming Monitors
Eindhoven, The Netherlands, July 16, 2012 – BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations and LED monitor expert, announced today its extended sponsorship of Intel Extreme Masters Season 2012/2013. For the second consecutive season, BenQ will serve as the official gaming monitor sponsor for the elite global professional gaming tour organized by Electronic Sports League, which will take place in Europe, Asia and the Americas. As the first monitor sponsor in Intel Extreme Masters history, BenQ is also ready to raise the bar once again. A professional tournament crew will be assigned by the company to assist gamers at each stop of the tour. The crew will help gamers personalize the calibration setting of their tournament monitors and familiarize them with all the monitor features to bring out the best of their gameplay performances.
Over 600 high-performance, tournament-grade XL2420T professional gaming monitors will be used by the world’s best gamers to compete for their titles from the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne event at gamescom 2012 trade show in Germany on August 15-19 until March 2013 when the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship will take place. Visitors of the show will also have the chance to get their hands on the XL2420T monitors as well as the RL2450HT and RL2240H monitors at the Intel Showcase to experience for themselves BenQ’s strong belief of “Gaming Is in the Details” through some of the best visual display design and technology in the history. This includes Black eQualizer, an exclusively designed color engine technology that allows gamers to brighten the image display without over-exposing white levels so that they can respond quickly to critical combat details revealed in darkened areas with improved visibility. Both the XL and RL Series are recognized as the official training monitors for worldwide professional gaming teams, including M5.BenQ, Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen, StarTale, Virtus.Pro, BenQ DELTAeSPORTS.COM, TCM-Gaming, x6tence, Team Dynamic, TFE (True Fighters of eSports) and many more. They are also the appointed tournament monitors of ESL Pro Series Poland, Major League Gaming and ESEA, as well as the partners of the world’s most esteemed cybercafés, including Sweden’s Inferno Online, which holds the record for being the biggest cybercafé in the world.
“We are very pleased to extend our partnership with Electronic Sports League through another exceptional year of Intel Extreme Masters Season 7 events all around the world,” Peter Chen, EVP and General Manager of BenQ Technology Product Center. “We take great pride and pleasure in offering the best for the best. We hope to continue providing the best tournament monitors and services for the gaming community. Nothing inspires us more to bring more to the game than to be a part of the game.”
“We have happily extended our relationship with BenQ for the next season because of the quality of the monitors they provide for our events.” says Michał Blicharz, the Director of Pro Gaming at Turtle Entertainment GmbH. “A tournament series like ours has to provide the most cutting edge hardware to its participants in order to allow them to show their absolute best performance in front of hundreds of thousands of viewers.”
