Welcome to our brand-new competition, designed to showcase your photographic skills to the whole world!
This time we want to celebrate the rich tapestry of people that make up our world by asking you to submit your best “Portrait” photograph. This competition is open to all people over the age of 18, and all interpretations of portrait photography, whether made professionally or even on a smart-phone from your travels.
To enter this competition and win some amazing prizes, simply post your favourite ‘portrait’ shot onto your Instagram page and make sure to follow these 3 simple steps to qualify –

The prizes!
1st Prize – One lucky winner will be one of the first people to get their hands on our brand new ‘super secret’ monitor! It’s so secret, that all we can reveal for now is that it’s 32” and worth €1,800 and will completely revolutionise your editing.
2nd Prize – Second place winner will get a brand new SW270C monitor!
The top 5 entries will win an expenses paid 2-day private masterclass with BenQ Ambassador, Frank Doorhof, in the beautiful Netherlands. This is a unique opportunity to further craft your skills, under the guidance of one of Europe’s best model and portrait photographers. Just remember to bring your camera!

Terms and Conditions
- This competition is open to people aged 18 and over who upload their original work to the social media platform “Instagram”, and compete the following actions –
Step 1: Add your Instagram username to your image (so we can find you quickly if you win!)

Step 3: Follow our Instagram page – @inspiration_by_benq
- Any entries that are considered dangerous, vulgar, offensive, indecent, illegal, racist, copied, cruel or fraudulent, or infringe on the rights or copyright of others will be immediately disqualified.
- The contest is open to European residents only.
- Employees or agencies of BenQ or their family members, or anyone else connected with the competition judging and winner selection may not enter the Prize Draw.
- Entrants into the Competition shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
- Only one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
- The closing date of the Prize Draw is 23:59 CET on 30th November, 2019. Entries received after this time period will not be considered.
- BenQ Europe B.V. accepts no responsibility for any additional costs associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize.
- The competition will have one first prize winner, one second-prize winner and 5 masterclass winners. The first-prize winner will receive the new ‘mystery monitor’ including delivery costs. The second prize winner will receive an SW270C monitor including delivery costs. The top 5 winners (including the two top prize winners) will receive an expenses paid, 2-day private masterclass with BenQ Ambassador, Frank Doorhof, in the Netherlands on the 24th and 25th January. BenQ Europe B.V. will cover the cost of flights and accommodation for each winner. Please note that food and drinks expenses must be covered by the participant. The Top 5 winners will also receive a paid ticket to Photokina and a voucher to download one of Frank’s exclusive tutorial videos.
- The five winners will be determined by a team of seven Judges. When choosing the winners and runners-up, the Judges will be looking for the most well-composed, artistic and original image that evokes the best interpretation of the theme “True Colors Right Before You”.
- The winners will be notified on Instagram (@inspiration_by_benq) via Direct Message on or shortly after the 8th of December and must respond to BenQ Europe B.V. within 7 days of being notified. Failure to do so will result in the winner’s prize being forfeited and BenQ Europe B.V. shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will have to respond to notification of their win within 7 days or else they will also forfeit their prize). If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and BenQ Europe B.V. shall be entitled to select another winner.
- In order for the prizes to be validated, all winners will be asked to provide the original working file of their competition entry. Failure to provide this, will result in the cancellation of the prize and the selection of a new winner.
- The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
- BenQ reserves the right, at any point, to cancel the competition. This means no winners will be chosen, and no prizes awarded. If cancelation does occur, competition entrants’ work will remain their own and not be used by BenQ in any circumstances.
- If you are one of the winners, BenQ Europe B.V. may request that you participate in publicity or promotion organised by BenQ Europe B.V. including a selection of the winners’ designs, which BenQ Europe B.V. will be granted image rights for publicity purposes.
- Copyright is retained by its respective creator; however, no financial compensation will be offered for this.
- BenQ Europe B.V. accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Prize Draw or accepting the prize.
- The Competition will be governed by English law and entrants to the Prize Draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
