Home Entertainment Projectors with Stunning Picture Performance
Eindhoven, The Netherlands, November 5, 2013 - BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations and global DLP® projector leader, is further expanding its portfolio of Full HD projectors. With the W1300 and W1400, BenQ presents two new home entertainment projector models with enhanced innovative features that deliver a sharper image contrast, maximum brightness and excellent 3D picture. In addition it is also standard equipped with 3D shutter glasses.
Superb picture, also in 3D
In addition to the standard features like 2000 and 2200 ANSI lumens for the W1300 and W1400 respectively, a contrast ratio of 10,000:1, both models are also equipped with the DarkChip3™ DLP® technology from Texas Instruments. This ensures a higher black level which means a deeper contrast and an improved brightness display. The new home entertainment projectors meet the highest requirements in terms of color with BrilliantColor™ technology, 1.07 billion colors, 6-segment color wheel and 3D color management. The REC 709 color gamut ensures standardized color calibration of the W1300 and W1400 projectors, as also to be found in televisions and cinema projections. In this way the watcher sees from the beginning homogeneous colors display.
The Triple Flash feature which is integrated in the DLP® chip shows true first class 3D graphics, which are normally only reserved for more expensive equipment. Triple Flash ensures with 3D viewing at 144HZ that no vibrations can be observed due to a tripling of the screen refresh frequency. The integrated DLP® Link™ synchronization system enables a perfect interplay between the projector and 3D shutter glasses which are standard supplied with these projectors.
The BenQ W1400 also uses a frame interpolation technology, which projects extremely smooth image sequences without blur effects in action movies and sports actions by means of calculation of intermediate images.
Optimal settings with lens shift and high zoom
Both models are equipped with lens shift and zoom functionalities, these two features assist the user in optimal settings of the projector itself or alignment of the projected image. The high zoom ratio of 1.5:1 and 1.6:1 for the W1300 and W1400 respectively, makes sure that the projection area will be fully utilized.
Connection and sound
The numerous possibilities for connection including 2x HDMI, 1x composite video (RCA), 1x component video input, audio L/R (RCA), USB and RS232 (DB-9 pin) make these new projectors extremely flexible in any way of home entertainment. The W1300 comes with a built-in 10W speaker, while the W1400 produces more powerful sound with SRS WW HD® technology by two speakers of 10W.
Power-saving SmartEco® technology
The SmartEco® technology equipped models W1300 and W1400 are particularly energy efficient in use, resulting in an extended lamp life at full brightness up to 6,000 hours. In this way the costs for replacement lamps are significantly reduced. Even in standby mode, the power consumption of the projector is less than 0.5 watts which meets the latest EU standards.
