A Home Entertainment Projector that Provides Even Greater Number of Connectivity Options and Enhanced Sound
The Netherlands, Eindhoven, August 8, 2014 - BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations and global DLP® projector leader, presents the W1070+, again a universal genius for home entertainment. This BenQ projector is the successor of previous successful model, the W1070. This new model is now complemented with an innovative technology for data transmission, such as WFHD (Wireless Full HD) and MHL. Other highlights are the integrated high quality 10W speaker and 2D keystone.
State of the art Full HD home cinema
The BenQ W1070+ performs in Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, with a brightness of 2,200 ANSI lumens, a color intensity of 1.07 billion colors and a maximum contrast of 10,000:1. The projection surface is 235 inches diagonal in size. Lens Shift and 2D Keystone correction functions ensure optimum aspect ratios.
The integrated HDMI® inputs can connect video sources like Blu-ray players, game consoles or PCs to the W1070+ and the 3D content can easily be displayed. Live sport broadcasts via cable or satellite TV are no problem either. Triple Flash technology ensures 3D representation of 144HZ so that vibrations cannot be observed due to tripling of the screen refresh rate. The overall positive impression of the W1070+ is emphasized by the enhanced sound from the high quality 10 watt speaker, which is especially noticeable in the bass range.
New possibilities for transfer - Wireless Full HD and MHL
The W1070+ offers the WFHD kit (Wireless Full HD), an innovative possibility for data transmission without annoying connection cables. This kit consists of a transmitter with two HDMI® inputs, one HDMI® output and a receiver, which is connected via USB to the projector and simultaneously connects that power supply to the receiver. With a range up to 20 meters and a latency time of less than 1ms, this WFHD kit provides excellent conditions for both movie and online gaming fanatics. The DFS (Dynamic Frequency Selection) is an additional feature, which allows WLAN to automatically change a channel if the selected channel is already in use or being interrupted.
Moreover, the W1070+ is equipped with an MHL connector to link smartphones or tablets using an MHL cable directly to the projector. Content such as home video clips, photos or video streams can easily be presented in large format. In addition, a MiraCast dongle can be connected which streams the content wirelessly of a MiraCast-compatible device and displays it on the projection surface.
The Full HD projector BenQ W1070+ with WFHD kit will be available from September 2014.
