Wi-Fi 6 is a new generation Wi-Fi standard that achieves higher data transfer speeds through efficient data encoding and intelligent use of the wireless spectrum made possible by more powerful processors. This can result in up to 75% less delay.
Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6 can offer fast gigabit Wi-Fi speeds, but Wi-Fi 6 can support more streams, up to 12 across the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands; while Wi-Fi 5 is limited to 8 in a dual-band configuration.
Compared to 5G, Wi-Fi 6 is more easily accessible, especially for indoor connectivity. Its fast speeds and congestion management capabilities make it perfect for multiple devices to connect to the same network with ease.
