  • How can I ensure that I get 4K120Hz/8K60Hz output through the GR10?

Please ensure the following conditions for your related devices:

    Display:

Ensure your connected display can output at 4K120Hz/8K60Hz.

    Laptop:

Ensure your laptop can output at 4K120Hz/8K60Hz.

    Cable:

Ensure the HDMI cable you're using supports 4K120Hz/8K60Hz display performance.

  • Why do I get a black screen when I connect my Steam Deck to the monitor via GR10?

The Steam Deck has two modes: Gaming Mode and Desktop Mode. When you are in Gaming Mode, due to the design of the Steam Deck, connecting the Steam Deck to a monitor or TV will only display the extended screen. If you want to operate the Steam Deck while it is connected to an external monitor, please switch to Desktop Mode.

  • Why can't I extend the screen when I connect my phone or tablet to the GR10?

Please ensure the following conditions for your devices:

    Phone:

The phone has a USB type-C interface and supports DP Alt mode output.

    Tablet:

The tablet has a USB type-C interface and supports DP Alt mode output.

  • Do the USB-A and USB-C ports on the GR10 support fast charging?

The GR10 only supports PD3.0 fast charging specification via the upstream USB4 cable. The downstream USB-A port only provides 4.5 watts of power output, and the USB-C port only provides 7.5 watts of power output.

  • What is the power consumption of the GR10 during operation?

The power consumption of the GR10 itself is 15 watts, ensuring sufficient power supply for USB type-A and USB type-C.

  • Can the GR10 be used with the Nintendo Switch?

External display for Nintendo Switch is not supported; only charging is supported.

  • Is the GR10 compatible with my console?

    1. Laptop: The GR10 is compatible with various operating systems, including Windows 10+ and macOS 13.0+. It also supports MacBooks with M1, M2, and M3 chips.
    2. Handheld gaming PC: Steam Deck LCD, Steam Deck OLED, ROG Ally.
    3. Phone: Any Android and iOS phones that support the "Desktop Mode" functionality, such as Samsung S Series, iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, etc.
  • Why can't the handheld consoles with protective cases fit into the GR10 slot?

The thickness of the groove on the GR10 base is 21.5mm. Please check if your handheld console with a protective case fits. You may choose to remove the protective case to use the GR10.

  • Does the package include a power adapter?

The package box does not include a power adapter. Please charge as follows:

    • Phone: Please use a power adapter with at least 35W.
    • Handheld game console: Please use a power adapter with at least 45W. If you want to use the ROG Ally 30W turbo mode, please use a power adapter with at least 85W.
    • Laptop: Please use a 100W power adapter.
  • Can I still power other devices if I don't connect the USB4 upstream cable to a device?

If you only connect the PD IN and do not connect the USB4 upstream cable to a device, you will not be able to provide low-power charging to other devices via the USB Type-A and side USB Type-C ports.
